Fox

Two more pages of a fox that finds a magic sword and becomes anthropomorphic. Original, I know.

Juice Cleanse

I'm doing a 3 day juice cleanse, day 2, I feel weird. And my body hurts. Here's a page from my new portfolio i've been handing out. I like their details. A lot of tattoo art influence in these. It would be awesome to see them animated!

Naked Ladies

It's Don.

In my stress to get a new portfolio together, Don came about. The whole idea seems too generic and a little like Garfield to me, but hey its a start. Fun to draw through!

Thumbnails

Here are some thumbs of a fox character I've been messing around with. Just practicing shots and trying to get some sort of momentum going. Working on Avengers Assemble at Atomic Cartoons in Vancouver was great for getting shot ideas. The board artists on it were SO good!! Learned a lot on that one for sure.

Stuff!!!

I've been trying to get a new "portfolio" together in my spare time. Some of what I've come up with so far. Not a lot of spare time with a new baby around either. Looking to start working again as my migration visa for Australia has finally gone through. Excited to see what Melbourne has to offer.

GIF!!

I've always wondered how to make an animated .gif file in photoshop. Now I know. This was a quick experiment. Jasmine is obsessed with cats. Gif's are fun, i shall make more!!!

some random characters I barfed out one afternoon.

Kat

this went on a birthday card for my old neighbour in Vancouver.

Painting plan

A color study for a painting, I'm sure it will change once I start. Exploring the ideas of relationship, cooperation, healing, tension and energy movement. I scanned a pic of the 18''x36'' canvas and photoshopped over top.

I've moved to Australia!!

I've moved to Melbourne and have a new son!! Meet Henry James Milne!! He's awesome. SO I'm just being a dad waiting for the work visa to go through. In my meantime, I've been sketching and dabbling in a couple paintings. Still trying to figure out the whole process.

East Side Culture Crawl Paintings!!

These were my side projects over the last two months. Fun times as I had never made anything on a canvas for display before. I'm looking forward to my upcoming move to Australia, and continuing to paint. I intend to take what I learned making these into bigger pieces that will hopefully be a lot more visually clear. Good times!

Rick Hansen Commercial

Here's a live action board I did last year, (July 2011).  It involved Rick Hansen.

Super last minute,  I did it in a couple hours one night while in Calgary. Photoshop!

VFX/ Live Action Commercial Storyboard

Here is a live action / vfx integration commercial storyboard I did last minute for a client. About 8 hrs over a couple days.  Live action always asks for different things in their boards than in animation,  less posing, but it was a fun idea so I made it a bit animation-ey.  The designs (phallic sea monster) were done by some one else.   I didn't post the dialogue either, but basically, when the coloured bugs land on the characters, they get to grant a wish. Just like real life.  Good times!!
