Here's another monster I drew with some color slapped on it. I do mean slapped. Painting and coloring is still a very new concept to me. Yay.

Here's a creature I drew the other day. I forgot how much fun it is to draw from the imagination, something I forget to do sometimes. I used this as a bit of a test for photo shop coloring. More to come, I'm liking the creature concepts.

Post Break......

I've been on a bit of a break from drawing for the last two weeks. I've been reading like a fiend instead, and currently enjoying "The Life of Pi". Here's some sketch book stuff I dug up.

Monday Life Drawing

Here's a bit of drawing from a class at VFS on Monday. 2-5 min each. I was really working on recognizing surfaces and being a little more deliberate with what I put on the paper. A better experience with the model and ultimately a better drawing is the result. Although they may look a bit "messy", this is definitely a step forward in my drawing process. I've also noticed an improvement in my more illustrative and cartoony drawings after revisiting this concept of showing surface change. Thanks to Mr. Glenn Vilppu for being awesome and helpful! Oh ya, my skills of fitting photoshop scans together need some work too, I'll try and post some more from this class to get some practice lol.

Tchaikovsky!

These were some gestures and movement studies I did this weekend at my friends concert. The conductor had some great poses and really broad movement. Throw in some live Tchaikovsky and I'll draw all day. Which I did.
